About David
David Benedict first discovered his passion for photography at the age of 15. His father bought him his first camera, an Albinar SLR, for his birthday. He started taking action photos at drag strips and speedways. By the age of 20, David was able to buy himself his first real camera, a Minolta X-370. He continued gaining experience with action photos while photographing friends skateboarding. David had put his passion aside while friends moved on and other goals had to be worked towards, only to have it re-awakened on a trip to Montana. David took a trip to the Annual Indian Days in Browning and brought his camera along for the experience.
David has now enjoyed photography for 24 years. With no formal training, he has used natural talent to capture images that instill a feeling of beauty and wonder. David’s inspiration strikes at random moments; either while on a drive through the scenic mountains or listening to a long forgotten song. His specialty has taken to the areas of portraits, themed pictures, landscapes and macro. While David maintains a career that occupies a lot of his time, he always finds a moment to try and capture the world.
